French 2015-16

Bonjour à tous !

Welcome to the French section! Here, you will find all the resources we use during the French classes, the clubs and various other documents, including a cooking recipe section !

mailA few tips to practice any foreign language mail

- Regularity pays more than quantity. Doing a tiny bit of language (15-20 min) every 2 or 3 days will help you learning more than with a big 1 hour session every week. Revising and going regularly through the new knowledge will help your brain fixing and remembering the topic.

- Don't be afraid of speaking and repeating, even home alone! If you don't remember the pronunciation, you can listen to any word on Wordreference, a brilliant online dictionary, or on Forvo

- Likewise, writing a word several times helps you when learning, especially for new words.

- Be curious : browse the Web, read books about the country you're interested in, pick up historical points or funny stories and explore. The more you learn, the easier and more pleasant the language will become.

Finally, remember that each language has its own communication system and you cannot stick English structures on everything or you will be translating the wrong way. This is why you must NEVER use Google Translate. Never, ever , ever !

A bientôt !
