Getting Ready To Learn

Getting Ready To Learn is a scheme which supports the pre-school curriculum in school and connects this to home. In Botanic, we offer a lending library which runs from November - December where each child takes 1 book home per week. January - Easter we take part in the Big Bedtime Read where a pack of 5 books is sent home to encourage you to read a book each night at bedtime. Finally May - June we send home 'bags of fun' following Education Works where a bag will be sent home which promotes an area in the preschool curriculum and an information pack in how to use this. 

Throughout the year there will also be stay and play sessions where you will see first hand how your child's development and education is promoted in the Nursery and how this can be supported and extended at home.
