What you need to know about P5
8.50 School Begins
We usually get the day started with…

10.50 Break/ 12.30 - 1.10 Lunch 🍛
Snack must be a healthy choice Monday- Thursday 🍏🍌🍊🥦🥪
Fridays children may bring a small treat 🍪
£2.60 is the cost per day for a school dinner
Homework
Your child will receive a written homework each night from Monday-Thursday to be returned the following morning
LITERACY two per week
MATHEMATICS two per week
Children will be asked to practise their spellings and number facts each night also
Reading 📚
Children are expected to read their guided reading book each night as well as access Accelerated Reader and/or access BugClub
You can support your child to progress with their reading and to read for enjoyment by encouraging them to choose their own novel also
The children will be encouraged to choose from the class library regularly
Physical Education (from November)
The children will have swimming lessons each TUESDAY
A PE lesson will now take place each THURSDAY (previously Monday basketball session)

Basketball 🏀 sessions with Phoenix Basketball. The children thoroughly enjoyed and engaged so well with these sessions this term!

We are authors! We entered a writing competition and just found that our stories are getting published in a real book! We can’t wait to see it :)
