Welcome to Year 7!
P7 is a busy year, full of fun leaning and challenges which help us develop skills and prepare us for secondary school.

Important Class Information:
Miss Barnes
Day two started with breakfast. We tidied our rooms and then went out for our final activities: team games, archery and the climbing wall. We are all ready for an early night!
Residential Day 1
Day one of our residential to Kilbroney has been jam-packed. We settled into our rooms, had lunch, enjoyed some free time outside and in the games room and then went canoeing, peer jumping, swimming and for rides in a speed boat. After a delicious dinner and a trip to the shop, we went on a night line and enjoyed hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows by the fire. Everyone is settled in for the time and ready for day two.
Children’s Mental Health Week
Each day we have a new focus: be active, give, take notice, connect and learn something new. We enjoyed a fun and active session with Fitness Freddy, created positive affirmations for ourselves and others and completed mindfulness activities. P7 have created stress balls and thought of ways to look after their mental health, as part of our shared education project.
Exploring the Victorians
We had to guess what our new topic was using Victorian artefacts. It wasn’t easy to guess what the artefact was but we got there in the end!
Figure Me Out
Starting a new year is a great time to reconnect with our peers. P7 had to create tricky sums as clues for the numbers in their life, such as their shoe size, the number of languages they speak and the number of people in their family. They also interviewed a peer and used this information to create a Keynote which they presented to the class.
European Day of Languages
We enjoyed croissants, a special assembly, German lessons and a special reading of Anika’s Underwater Adventures, the book which last year’s P7 helped to write.
